Traditional Way Of Healing

Reiki is a spiritual practice and was developed in 1922 by Buddhist Mikao Usui. There are two forms of Reiki: Traditional Japanese and Western Reiki, both contain three levels of attainment: First, Second, and Master/Teacher level. In the First Level, a practitioner is able to heal self and others. At the Second Level they can heal without being physically close to the patient by using specialized symbols. At Master level, the therapist can channel energy through him or herself into the patient by the laying on of hands, activating the natural healing of the patient’s body. If Master level is obtained you are one of two types of Master, a Master Teacher or a Master Practitioner; a Master Teacher is a Master of Reiki and they can teach Reiki, a Master Practitioner knows Reiki well enough to teach but they have chosen not to teach.

Traditional Japanese Reiki is a system that uses the intuitive skill of knowing where to place the hands for healing and in general the teachings never left Japan; where as Western Reiki system uses set hand patterns for treatments and places emphasis on the healing of ailments.

Reiki is used for healing the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual issues and gives wonderful results. It is beneficial to the health of woman, man, children and can be used on animals, plants and water.

When the flow of energy is disrupted, weakened or blocked somewhere in the body, emotional or health problems usually occur. Imbalances can be caused from: emotional or physical trauma, injury, negative thoughts and feelings, toxicity, nutritional depletion, destructive lifestyle and relationships, neglect of self and a lack of love. Reiki is used for the healing of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual issues that are caused by these imbalances of energy and has positive results. It is beneficial to your health and can be used for women, men, children, animals, plants and water.

The Reiki healing energy can be used at any moment where on-the-spot stress release, pain relief and quick energy is necessary. A treatment is done while you relax in a laying or sitting position. The healer then holds his hands on or above the patient and this process can last an hour or longer, depending on what the treatment is being done for. The energy flows from the healer to the part of the body the patient is having problems with. During treatment you may feel warmth coming from the healers hands and or a tingling sensation in your body. The receiving of Reiki can treat the whole person; mind, body and spirit. The end results for the patient are usually feelings of peace, security and well being.
