Asia is a part of the world that is full of enduring sights and sounds. The music of Asia is unique in the many instruments they abound. In India the sitar is a string instrument made from wood a the gourd of a pumpkin. The sitar is among of the most used string instruments in India as the sound is popular in Indian music. In India the shehnai is a special wood wind instrument that creates notes sounding similar to the voice of a person. In China some instruments are meant to produce a calming and meditating mood.

The Gopichand in China changes tune when pressing on bamboo. The TamTam is hit with a mullet and trembles musical notes. The native flute of Japan is the Roshakuhachi flute. The Roshakuhachi flute is one of the many Asian flutes that is played by blowing air at the end of the instrument. Flutes once played a vital part of Asian history. The oldest known flute was from 8,000 years ago and made from red crowned crane bones. Percussion play a major role in Asian music as well as theater. In Singapore, percussion is often made the strong point of productions, sometimes even having it’s own solo part. Percussion instruments popular in Singapore include those made from leather, wood and brass. A well respected music school in Singapore is based solely on teaching only percussion theme. Piano and string instruments such as the harp are some of the favorite instrumental groups in Singapore.

In Singapore alone the music industry is booming with urban rock, punk rock and pop. Several music schools in Singapore are dedicated the sounds of punk rock and pop. A student can enroll in a school specifically for instrumental lessons aimed towards pop music. Learning a pop version of drum playing is taught using a Cajun drum or a boxed drum. Even the Ukulele has taken a turn in Singapore pop music as it has become a popular tool for pop sound in Asia. Music schools go beyond the popular wave of punk rock and pop in Singapore. The classical orchestra is still just as outstanding and cherished. Young children are often introduced to lessons in piano, cello, and guitar to encourage musical education early. There are music schools in Singapore directed to the form of classical music only. One school is designed for piano and keyboard only while another offers wide variety degrees in almost every orchestra instrument one could think of. While pop music instruments like pop guitar are popular the classical tools of music are just as favored. Violin, harp and cello are still in high demand. Singapore even has musical universities offering the student composer a chance to educate in the music industry. In Asia no musical instrument is left out. Each instrumental group has it’s place in Asian sound.

Betta fish are really cool and pretty fish to have. I bought a betta fish a couple of times. At first I kept the tiny fish in a small bowl just like they have them in at the store. Because betta fish can breathe air like people do and in the water as well, this is why you can keep them in such a small bowl.

After about a week of watching my fish swim in this small area, I decided I wanted him to have more room. So he could swim farther. So I bought a 10 gallon fish tank and some accessories to spruce up the tank. First I washed everything out really good with soapy water, the tank and the accessories. I also bought an air pump so the fish would have more air and the water wouldn’t get stale. Once I got the fish tank and his new trimmings washed well, I filled the tank up with water and put the trimmings in place as I wanted them. I let the water sit for a while so I wouldn’t shock the fish when I first put him in the water. I actually waited about 24 hours before I put my fish in his new home.
I also got a plecostomus or an algae eater for the tank. The plecostomus would eat the algae in the fish tank so I wouldn’t have to change the water as often. This type of fish can usually be found stuck to the side of the fish tank.
Once I put my betta fish in his beautiful new home, he swam away looking at all the new surroundings he had. A sunken treasure chest at the bottom of the tank, some pretty rocks and glass stones and a huge rock I bought that had a hole in the middle of it so the fish could swim in and out of it.
After my fish got use to his new place, I decided I better feed him. I bought some betta fish food which was freezed-dried blood worms. I would only feed him a couple of times a day so the water wouldn’t get cloudy to fast and the fish wouldn’t get sick.
I ended up having to put something on the back of the fish tank because the fish could see his reflection. I bought the pretty fishy looking background design they had at the pet store but this didn’t work. He could still see himself. It was Christmas time so I ended up putting some Christmas wrapping paper with Santa on it on the back of the outside of the tank. Problem solved. My betta fish ended up living about 3 years.

In January of 1997, the Czech Republic/Asia Business Association, a non-profit, non-governmental organization, was established, with the complete cooperation of the Singapore Trade Development Board. Its objective was to offer broad-spectrum assistance to cultural and commercial interaction between the Asian Countries and the Czech Republic, while defending and sustaining the union of the members’ varied business interests.

In 2007, the Czech/Asian Business Forum brought Asian businesses to the Czech Republic for the very first time.
Subsequently, in 2008 the forum was attended by 44 Asian and 157 Czech participants, 15 diplomats and official guests, plus 29 business delegates.
The 2009 forum was attended by 47 Asian and 193 Czech participants, 20 official guests and diplomats, and 27 business delegates. The Czech Export Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development and the Czech Prime Minister substantially supported the forum, plus the Czech Republic Ministry of Finance moderated.

In 2010, the forum focused on fighting the world economic crisis and was attended by the Prime minister of the Czech Republic, as well as the Czech Republic’s Minister of the Environment. During the forum, an important memorandum was successfully negotiated and signed between the Czech Republic’s Association of Exporters and the Federation of Exporters from India. The main topic of the forum was sustainable development and the Indonesian Royal Family visited the event. Also in attendance were 212 Czech and 55 Asian business participants. The Asian businessmen were from Mongolia, Vietnam, Korea, Indonesia, India and Singapore.

Travel is always a subject of interest to businessmen everywhere. Singapore travel deals are readily available to the savvy traveler and are as hot a topic of conversation at annual forums as they are anywhere else.

Reiki is a spiritual practice and was developed in 1922 by Buddhist Mikao Usui. There are two forms of Reiki: Traditional Japanese and Western Reiki, both contain three levels of attainment: First, Second, and Master/Teacher level. In the First Level, a practitioner is able to heal self and others. At the Second Level they can heal without being physically close to the patient by using specialized symbols. At Master level, the therapist can channel energy through him or herself into the patient by the laying on of hands, activating the natural healing of the patient’s body. If Master level is obtained you are one of two types of Master, a Master Teacher or a Master Practitioner; a Master Teacher is a Master of Reiki and they can teach Reiki, a Master Practitioner knows Reiki well enough to teach but they have chosen not to teach.

Traditional Japanese Reiki is a system that uses the intuitive skill of knowing where to place the hands for healing and in general the teachings never left Japan; where as Western Reiki system uses set hand patterns for treatments and places emphasis on the healing of ailments.

Reiki is used for healing the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual issues and gives wonderful results. It is beneficial to the health of woman, man, children and can be used on animals, plants and water.

When the flow of energy is disrupted, weakened or blocked somewhere in the body, emotional or health problems usually occur. Imbalances can be caused from: emotional or physical trauma, injury, negative thoughts and feelings, toxicity, nutritional depletion, destructive lifestyle and relationships, neglect of self and a lack of love. Reiki is used for the healing of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual issues that are caused by these imbalances of energy and has positive results. It is beneficial to your health and can be used for women, men, children, animals, plants and water.

The Reiki healing energy can be used at any moment where on-the-spot stress release, pain relief and quick energy is necessary. A treatment is done while you relax in a laying or sitting position. The healer then holds his hands on or above the patient and this process can last an hour or longer, depending on what the treatment is being done for. The energy flows from the healer to the part of the body the patient is having problems with. During treatment you may feel warmth coming from the healers hands and or a tingling sensation in your body. The receiving of Reiki can treat the whole person; mind, body and spirit. The end results for the patient are usually feelings of peace, security and well being.
